A responsive website that let's the photographers shine
AURA is the MCTC 2014 Photography and Digital Imaging portfolio show. This project was a creative collaboration between print designer, Rhia Brutger, and myself. Her logo design was the starting point as I began developing my concept for the web site.
Throughout the project, I sought to develop a website that was cohesive with the rest of the branding efforts and would allow the photographer's work to stand out.
During our initial meeting, we talked extensively about the word aura and how it related to their class. They wanted their brand to feel:
- professional
- creative
- “the show should have an aura about it”
- unified
- like a collective energy
- luminous
The Result
For the final version of the website, I customomized the Foundation Framework.
The photographers's information has been organized into a flat-file structure. Photographer pages are generated dynamically using PHP
